Gloriosa rothschildiana 

Gloriosa are an exotic climbing lily that is native to Africa. They are grown as a tuber that needs to be planted horizontally, 7-8cm deep, in a sunny position, sheltered from the wind (support with stakes, netting or chicken wire to hold onto tendrils).

Planting in October – December when the risk of frost has passed is essential.  It is also important to never let the plant dry out completely in the growing season and fertilize regularly with a complete fertilizer. Plant in well draining soil or potting mix.

Once died off the tubers should be dug and stored in a cool, dry place over winter.
