Banksia integrifolia ‘Coast Banksia’ 

A hardy, evergreen native shrub with dense, dark green foliage and golden yellow flowers. The plant can be pruned after flowering. Use in native gardens, general landscaping, mass plantings, pots or on embankments. Banksia integrifolia has low water requirements once established. Will require occasional deep watering during periods of extended heat will benefit the plant. Best used for potted displays. For potting into containers use an Australian Native potting mix. Feed every 3-4 months with an Australian Native fertiliser to promote healthy growth.

Planting Tips: 
When planting Australian natives they don’t require too much work to get them settled. Fertiliser Australian native plants in the prime growing seasons, Spring and early Autumn for the best results. However, make sure to use the right food. Almost all natives dislike soils and food with high phosphorus levels, therefore when fertilising these plants make sure to use a fertiliser made especially for them with phosphorus (P) level of 3% or less.

If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Make sure to use a premium quality Australian Native Potting Mix as this has the correct balance of wetting agents and nutrients required for having a healthy plant.
