Apple ‘Leprechaun’ – Freshly Potted* (PBR)
A neat, compact, upright dwarf deciduous fruiting tree that requires pollination for fruit development. Apple Leprechaun produces long slender stems with oval deep green leaves which change colour in autumn. It will require annual pruning once the foliage has dropped in winter. This will encourage a stronger branching framework, airflow through the canopy and better fruit quality. Apple Leprechaun produces medium to large rounded fruit with lime-yellow skin. The flesh is a cream with a slight tinge of green. The fruit is firm and crisp, great keeping and very good when used in cooking. This is an ideal tree for large gardens, food gardens or as a feature tree. Apple Golden Delicious grows best in humus-rich soil, which is well-draining.

Planting Tips:
Prepare the soil before planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost will help to condition and revitalise tired soils. If adding organic matter to your soil, make sure to blend the compost or animal manure with pre-existing soil, mixing/digging it together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepared, dig a wider hole, but not deeper, than the pot’s original size has come in. Position the plant in the hole, backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Do not bury the graft of the plant. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.
Suppose planting into a pot. The container chosen is large enough to accommodate the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container that is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
