Cherry ‘Morello’ Sour Cherry – 25cm Pot
A compact dwarf deciduous fruiting tree that is semi self-fertile does produce more fruit with cross-pollination. Cherry Morello produces elliptic deep green leaves, which changes colour in autumn. It will require annual pruning in winter, as this will encourage a stronger branching framework, airflow through the canopy and better fruit quality. Cherry Morello produces small-medium heart shape fruit in clusters on new wood growth. The fruit is a deep ruby-red with a blood-red, juicy and crisp and sour flesh. The fruit is ideal for bringing jams, cooking, wine and making other liqueurs. This is a very reliable fruiting tree that is great for patios, apartments, food gardens or as a feature tree in a pot. Cherry Morello grows best in humus-rich soil, which is well-draining.
