Nellie Kelly Blueberry Sunshine Blue 

A semi-dwarf Blueberry with oval, deep green foliage which is semi-deciduous in Winter. In Autumn, foliage colour changes to red-orange giving a decorative display.  Early-mid fruiting variety, self-fertile, harvest berries from October through to late December. Berries are large, juicy and sweet. The fruit is high in antioxidants, berries can be used fresh or to make jams, sauces and in cooking. Requires regular watering when the fruit is developing.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil prior to planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to condition and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend compost/manure with the pre-existing soil, mixing together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.

If planting into a pot, make sure the container selected is large enough for the plant which is going to be planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
