Rubus idaeus Raspberry Golden – 14cm

Raspberry Golden (Rubus idaeus) bears medium-sized golden yellow berries with a sweet ‘raspberry lemonade’ flavour. A Floricane variety, Golden Yellow fruits on the previous year’s growth, and the fruit is less acid than normal red Raspberries.

Protect Raspberries from extreme heat and damaging winds during Summer. Needs well-drained fertile soil and adequate water during the Summer months. Raspberries require a cold Winter to enable adequate fruit set.
Lightly thin canes in winter as this variety will flower and fruit on the previous season’s growth. Plant 30cm apart. Prefers full sun to part shade and likes weekly watering in summer.

Raspberries require protection from extreme heat and damaging winds in periods of dry hot weather. These plants also require a cold Winter to encourage fruiting. If grown in humid areas fruit quality and set might be poor.
