Olive ‘UC13A6’ – 20cm Pot

Olive UC13A6 is a highly decorative fruiting tree with slender green leaves with silver undersides. Developed at the University of California,  UC13A6 is very drought tolerant once established and can be grown in the garden or larger pots. All Olives require humus-rich soil which has good drainage as they dislike sitting in water for long periods. Olive UC13A6 produces very-large green fruits which ripen to a deep purple, almost black colour in Autumn. Excellent pulp to pit ratio. Popular for its sweet fruit, fantastic for eating and preserving. Low water requirements once established in the garden. If grown in containers keep well watered over the Summer. A great variety to be grown in colder climates like Victoria as it will still produce an abundance of fruit. Slow growing.

Olives are mainly self-fertile; however, they produce higher and better quality crops with a pollinator.
