Aquilegia Little Lanterns is a long-flowering, low-growing perennial ideal as a filler in garden beds, a feature plant or planted in pots. From Spring through to early Autumn, narrow vibrant orange and yellow flowers sit atop of long stems. By removing old flower heads throughout the peak flowering season will encourage more buds to develop and emerge. The foliage is a lush green which is a lovely contrast against other plants. This an evergreen, compact, neat growing perennial. Fertiliser throughout the peak growing seasons with preferred fertiliser. Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil prior to planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to conditions and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend with pre-existing soil, mixing together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gasp with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.
If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
