David Austin Rose ‘Sir John Betjeman’ – 20cm Pot
Sir John Betjeman has an upright, neat growth habit. The foliage is a light, rich green which drops in the Winter. Small clusters of dome-shaped, lightly fragrant blooms appear on slender stems. The flowers are wonderful crimson-red. Best used in English garden designs, cottage gardens or in pots. Roses require moderate watering, especially during hot weather. Applying a layer of mulch around the base of the plant will help to retain moisture during dry periods.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil prior to planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to condition and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend compost/manure with the pre-existing soil, mixing together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.
