Carpet Rose White – 14cm

Carpet Rose White is considered by many to be the most disease-resistance white flowering rose available. This is one of the earliest flowering carpet roses to bloom in the Spring. Petite double-petalled, pure white blooms appear from early Spring through to Autumn. The flowers have a pleasant fragrance and a notable ability to retain beautiful, snowy white for the entire life of the flower. This is easy to grow, sprawling rose ideal as a living mulch in the garden. Low maintenance with no spraying required due to their great disease-resistance. All the carpet roses are ‘self-cleaning’ and very rarely require deadheading. Roses require moderate watering, especially during hot weather. Applying a layer of mulch around the base of the plant will help to retain moisture during dry periods.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil prior to planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to condition and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend compost/manure with the pre-existing soil, mixing together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.

If planting into a pot, make sure the container selected is large enough for the plant which is going to be planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
