Calendula – punnet

A beautiful double petaled form with vibrant yellow, golden and orange blooms. Calendula Pacific Beauty flowers are edible and can be used to flavour teas. Best grown in pots, vertical walls, vegetable gardens or on mass for a bright display. Calendula Pacific Beauty is great companion plants for vegetables and can be a great pollinator attractant. Best grown in humus-rich soil in all day sun. Moderate water requirements once established.

Planting Tips
Garden Beds: Make sure to prepare the soil prior to planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to condition and revitalise tired soils. Make sure to blend compost/manures with the pre-existing soil. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.

Container Gardens: Make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being selected. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant. Make a hole which is wider but not deeper than the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Water the plant in to settle the roots.
