Cucumber Crystal Apple punnet

During the warmer months, Cucumber Crystal Apple produces short, round sweet-tasting fruits. Ideal for kids, this is an easy to grow vegetable. Cucumber Crystal Apple is a very high yielding plant. The fruit is best used in cooking or can be harvest and eaten fresh. Best grown in vegetable patches. The plant can be grown along the ground or up a supporting frame.

Planting Tips

Garden Beds: Make sure to prepare the soil before planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to condition and revitalise tired soils. Make sure to blend compost/manures with the pre-existing ground. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is broader, but not deeper, than the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.

Container Gardens: Make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant selected. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant. Make a hole which is wider but not deeper than the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Water the plant in to settle the roots.
