Tomato Tigerella – 10cm
Heirloom Variety. One plant can produce up to 20kg of fruit!
Tomato Tigerella will require staking no higher than 1.6m. The fruit is smooth, rounded with red skin and amazing orange stripes once ripe. Excellent flavour, perfect for eating fresh, making passata and preserving. This is a very prolific variety.
Never plant tomatoes in the same soil consecutively each year, they require crop-rotation which is a process which best benefits the plant. By rotating between different crops in the soil it will prevent the build-up of soil-borne pests and disease. Crop rotation also allows the soil to replenish any nutrients which might have otherwise been depleted over time. Plant Tomato Tigerella in a sunny position in the garden as this will assist with fruit productivity and flavour. Fertilise Tomatoes once a month.

Planting Tips
Garden Beds: Tomato plants can be planted 1-2 inches deeper than the original pot they come in or if you have grown them from seed you can plant them 1 inch deeper. Tomatoes form roots along their stems when they come into contact with the soil. By planting them a little deeper will help to anchor them into the soil and encourage another set of roots to grow to establish into the soil.
Container Gardens: Make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant selected. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant. Make a hole which is wider but not deeper than the original size of the pot the plant came in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Water the plant in to settle the roots.
