Sow from late winter to mid-autumn. All year round in frost-free areas.
Germination time: 12 – 15 days.
A unique and delicious gourmet vegetable with a subtle sweet and nutty flavour. This variety quickly produces large plump heads with tightly clinging fleshy leaves.
The seed is large so sow individually 1cm deep in rows 60 cm apart. When large enough, thin out so they’re 60 cm each way.
They need rich, well-drained soil and appreciate plenty of water during the growing seasons. Pick heads before the bud opens.
Also attractive planted at the back of flower garden and leaving heads to form a pale-blue flower.
