A stringless variety of the french type. it is very popular for its high yield of long flat beans.
As soon as the soil warms up, prepare for sowing by digging over the garden bed which should be located in an open sunny position and have been previously used to grow a leaf crop such as cabbage or lettuce.
Apply a complete fertiliser in bands, about 8cm each side of the row at planting time.
Water plants regularly, preferably by trickle irrigation rather than overhead sprinkler.
