This close relative of the cauliflower produces green flower buds and is worthy of a place wherever there is space to grow it. It will produce quite large crops over a long period from a relatively small space and will perform best if sown to mature in the cooler part of the year. Soil must be well manured to encourage vigorous growth for the largest heads and most side shoots. An application of Sulphate of Ammonia as a side dressing when they commence flowering will be beneficial. Use Yates Success regularly to control White Cabbage Moth and Pyrethrum Long Life to control aphids.
