Chrysocephalum apiculatum ‘Desert Flame’ -14cm pot

A stunning native groundcover with a mounding, compact growth habit with grey-green foliage. From Spring to Summer, golden-yellow miniature daisy-like flowers appear on tall slender stems. Chrysocephalum Desert Flame has low water requirements once established, however, the plant will benefit from occasional watering in hot dry weather. Best used in native gardens, coastal and water-wise garden designs or grown in containers. When planting into a container, use a native potting mix if planting into a container. Chrysocephalum Desert Flame is drought tolerant once established.

Planting Tips: 
When planting Australian natives they don’t require too much work to get them settled. Fertiliser Australian native plants in the prime growing seasons, Spring and early Autumn for the best results. However, make sure to use the right food. Almost all natives dislike soils and food with high phosphorus levels, therefore when fertilising these plants make sure to use a fertiliser made especially for them with phosphorus (P) level of 3% or less.

If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Make sure to use a premium quality Australian Native Potting Mix as this has the correct balance of wetting agents and nutrients required for having a healthy plant.
