Helleborus x hybrid ‘Anna’s Red’ – 18cm pot
A hardy, evergreen, clumping perennial with dark green, leathery foliage. Hellebore Anna’s Red produces large extremely dark crimson red flowers which are extremely long flowering, thus making this a stunning variety to use in the garden as a contrast plant against other perennials. The flowers bloom from Winter through to early-mid Spring. Best used for mass plantings under taller shrubs or canopy trees, they look beautiful in perennial borders, cottage gardens or planted into a pot as a feature. Hellebore Anna’s Red grows best in a shaded, sheltered area, however, they can be grown in all day sun. These tough perennials grow best in humus-rich soil, however, they will tolerate sandy soils if kept watered during dry hot weather. Use a premium quality potting mix when planting them into pots. Low water requirements once established in the garden. Occasional watering during the warmer months will keep the plant lush and healthy.
