Protea rupens ‘Ruby Blush’ – 14cm pot
A medium, hardy, evergreen shrub with smooth, vibrant green oval leaves. In Autumn and Winter, Protea Ruby Blush has elongated white-cream flowers that emerge with hot ruby-pink tips. Use in mass plantings, general landscaping, coastal gardens, rockeries, pots or as a low hedge. Excellent cut flower. Requires well-drained soils, Protea Ruby Blush will not grow in alkaline or boggy/clay. Water well during the first 2 years for the plant to establish. Low water requirements once established.

Planting Tips:
When planting Proteaceae plants they don’t require too much work to get them settled. Fertiliser in the prime growing seasons, Spring and early Autumn for the best results. However, make sure to use the right food.
If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Make sure to use a premium quality Australian Native Potting Mix as this has the correct balance of wetting agents and nutrients required for having a healthy plant.
