Gardenia Magnifica is an evergreen upright shrub with lush glossy green foliage. From Spring to Autumn, you will be rewarded with highly fragrant white flowers on a compact shrub. Ideal as a low hedge or feature plant and perfect to plant near entertaining or outdoor areas where the fragrance can be enjoyed. Gardenia Magnifica requires frequent watering throughout the growing seasons and fertilise every 4-6 weeks with Harry’s Gardenia Food to keep them thriving. Applying a layer of mulch around the base of the plants in spring will help retain moisture in the soil and around the roots during dry spells.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil prior to planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to conditions and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend with pre-existing soil, mixing together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gasp with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.
If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
