Ficus hillii ‘Flash’ – 25cm pot

An upright, dense evergreen shrub with glossy green foliage. Ficus flash is fast growing and is ideal to use a hedge or screen for privacy or as a feature. Ficus Flash has moderate water requirements once established in the garden and will benefit from a deep soaking during dry periods. It responds very well to pruning and can be shaped as topiary, pleached as a screen and pruned as a standard.

Planting Tips:
Prepare the soil before planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost will help to condition and revitalise tired soils. If adding organic matter to your soil, make sure to blend the compost or animal manure with pre-existing soil, mixing/digging it together thoroughly. Dig a wider hole, but not deeper, than the pot’s original size has come in. Position the plant in the hole, backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Do not bury the graft of the plant. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.

Suppose planting into a pot. The container chosen is large enough to accommodate the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container that is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
