PVC liner

Our 0.5mm (500 micron) PVC liner a budget liner ideal for small ponds. Far more flexible than polyethylene liners and UV stabilised, the liner is easy to install and is both fish and aquatic plant friendly.

PVC liner are available in 2m width up to 50m in length.

While we recognise Firestone Pondgard Rubber Liner as the best liner due to it’s flexibilty and long life, this is a low cost option.

In order to determine the size of liner you require follow the formula below.

Width required = Maximum width of pond + (2 x maximum depth) + (2 x overhang required)

Length required = Maximum length of pond + (2 x maximum depth) + (2 x overhang required)

The overhang of liner that you will require will depend on how you are decorating the edge of you pond. You will need less overhang for a timber or brick edge than you will for rocks. Liner should go under the rocks and come up the back of them so that the water level of your pond can be raised to half way up the height of the rock. This will hide the liner and give a more natural appearance.
