A great choice for your garden borders, pathways or pots, adding a splash of blue and white to your garden.
General Information: Fully hardy, suitable for all climates except sub/tropical or semi arid.
Planting Depth: 8cm deep
Height: 15 cm
Blooming Time: Blooms in Spring, early Summer.
Soil Position: Prefers to be mass planted in a sunny position, in well drained soil. They are extremely hardy and can handle most conditions, but will benefit from protection from the wind.
Position: Full sun/Part shade.
Planting Time: Plant from March onwards.
Cultivation: Prepare your soil by digging through well rotted manure a few weeks prior to planting your bulbs, top dress as buds appear. Bulbs can be left undisturbed for many years to naturalise or lift when clumps thicken, waiting till the foliage turns yellow. Store in a cool, well ventilated, dry environment.
Watering: Only necessary if the ground begins to dry out due to insufficient rainfall.
Fertilising: Add organic or chemical fertiliser to ground before planting. Top dress as buds
appears.
Soil: Well drained.
Lifting & Storage: Bulbs can be left undisturbed for many years. As clumps and borders thicken fertilising becomes important. Dig when foliage turns
yellow.
Pests: Very hardy to pests and diseases. Bait snails and slugs during growing period.
Tips: Plant in long borders as an edging plant.
