Convallaria majalis ‘Lily of the Valley’ – Trough
Lily of the Valley is a woodland bulb famous for its fragrant blooms. The broad leaves are rich green which appears in the Spring from their Winter dormancy. Stems of small white bell-shaped blooms appear in Spring. Lily of the Valley has moderate water requirements, they will benefit from occasional watering during the warmer months. Best grown in pots or under the canopy of larger trees.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil before planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to condition and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend compost/manure with the pre-existing ground, mixing thoroughly. Once the ground has been prepare, dig a hole which is broader, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.
If planting into a pot, make sure the container selected is large enough for the plant selected. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
