Zoo Gro is a compost product made from a wide range of Melbourne Zoo’s organic materials such as garden clippings, animal bedding, straw, shredded paper and selected animal manures from exotic animals such as elephants, giraffe, and pygmy hippos.
Matured compost is a natural and complete soil conditioner. Properly manufactured from a balanced mixture of ingredients, matured compost contained a mixture of plant foods and minerals in a balanced form. Correctly followed composting techniques generate heat that destroys harmful microorganisms and insect pests, and weed seeds.
