This is a spectacular growing Kangaroo Paw with an upright growth habit. This is a native perennial with dark green foliage which is evergreen all year round. Anigozanthos Bush Zest has masses of tubular, long-lasting, bright citrus-yellow coloured flowers which appear on hairy tall stems in spring and summer, with spot flowering in autumn. Anigozanthos Bush Zest is best used in rockeries, native gardens, general landscaping, mass plantings and pots. Low water requirements once established. Occasional deep watering during periods of extended heat will benefit the plant. Be careful to not overwater when kept in a pot. Will tolerate coastal conditions. Use a native potting mix if grown in pots.

Planting Tips:
When planting Australian natives they don’t require too much work to get them settled. Fertiliser Australian native plants in the prime growing seasons, Spring and early Autumn for the best results. However, make sure to use the right food. Almost all natives dislike soils and food with high phosphorus levels, therefore when fertilising these plants make sure to use a fertiliser made especially for them with phosphorus (P) level of 3% or less.
If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Make sure to use a premium quality Australian Native Potting Mix as this has the correct balance of wetting agents and nutrients required for having a healthy plant.
