Philotheca nodiflora var. lasiocalyx ‘Blue Wax Flower’- 14cm
A beautiful native which has an upright growth habit. Philotheca Blue Wax Flower produces petite pale blue flowers with a purple hue in Winter and Spring. The foliage is a lovely silver, rosemary-like, on long stems. Prune the plant back after flower to encourage neater growth. Philotheca Blue Wax Flower requires excellent drainage. Low water requirements. Can be grown in coastal gardens, embankments or planted in a native garden on mass. Grow in all day sun.

Planting Tips:
When planting Australian natives they don’t require too much work to get them settled. Fertiliser Australian native plants in the prime growing seasons, Spring and early Autumn for the best results. However, make sure to use the right food. Almost all natives dislike soils and food with high phosphorus levels, therefore when fertilising these plants make sure to use a fertiliser made especially for them with phosphorus (P) level of 3% or less.
If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Make sure to use a premium quality Australian Native Potting Mix as this has the correct balance of wetting agents and nutrients required for having a healthy plant.
