Olive ‘Kalamata’ – 25cm

Olive Kalamata is a highly decorative fruiting tree with slender silver-green foliage. Drought tolerant once established and can be grown in the garden or in larger pots. All Olives require humus-rich soil which has good drainage as they dislike sitting in water for long periods of time. Olive Kalamata produces medium-large dark green fruits which ripen to a deep purple, almost black colour. Extremely popular for its sweet fruit, fantastic for eating and preserving. Low water requirements once established in the garden. If grown in containers keep well watered over the Summer. A great variety to be grown in colder climates like Victoria as it will still produce an abundance of fruit. Slow growing.
