Loquat ‘Herds Mammoth’ – 25cm pot

An Australian variety from NSW, this is an evergreen tree with large dark green leaves. Can withstand cold climates, perfect to be grown in Victoria.

Produces very large fruit, with a thick skin, which is great for protecting it from bruising. Skin and flesh is a bright yellow. The flesh is thick with a smaller seed. If picked/harvested too early flavour will be a little tart. Allow fruit to sit on the tree to get the flavour at its best. Harvested correctly flesh is juicy and sweet. Fruits ripen in early in the season, this is a heavy cropper and will require pruning.
