Ranunculus Assorted 14cm

Ranunculus is a low growing perennial bulb which has a mounding growth habit. From Spring, short stems appear with large flower buds which open to reveal large rose-like blooms. When flowers have finished, feed with a liquid fertiliser, as this will encourage healthy root growth. Ranunculus has moderate water requirements during their growing seasons, plants will benefit from deep soakings in the peak of Spring. Plants are in bud so flowers may be red, orange, white, pink or yellow.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil prior to planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to conditions and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend with pre-existing soil, mixing together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.

If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
