Hosta Ghinko Craig is a low growing, herbaceous perennial which produces stunning foliage. The foliage is of green and white variegation. In Summer tall stems of purple bell-like blooms appear above the foliage. Hostas are fantastic plants to have growing under the canopy of large trees and shrubs in shaded gardens. In late Autumn plants can fall into dormancy for the Winter. Low-moderate water requirements. Plants will benefit from occasional watering during the warmer months. —best grown in humus-rich soil with good drainage.

Planting Tips:
Prepare the soil before planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to condition and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend compost/manure with the pre-existing ground, mixing thoroughly. Dig a hole which is broader, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.

If planting into a pot, make sure the container selected is large enough for the chosen plant. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
