Ophiopogon spicata ‘Silver Dragon‘– 14cm pot

A highly ornamental variegated grass ideal to be grown in a shaded area protected from the late afternoon sun. An evergreen grass with two-toned foliage, leaves are green with white stripes. In Summer lilac flowers appear just above the foliage. Low clumping growth habit, little to no maintenance.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil prior to planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to conditions and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend with pre-existing soil, mixing together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.

If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
