This Azalea Alphonse comes in this beautiful standard.
Azalea Alphonse Standard is an evergreen, medium shrub with oval, light green leaves and a profusion of large, single, pink flowers in Spring. Use in general landscaping under trees or as a low hedge. Azalea Alphonse is best grown in a sheltered position in moist, well-drained soils. Will not grow in clay or alkaline soils. Azaleas have moderate once established, but it is best to keep them moist during the hot and dry periods. Prune after flowering to keep the plant lush and healthy.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil prior to planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to condition and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend compost/manure with the pre-existing soil, mixing together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.
If planting into a pot, make sure the container selected is large enough for the plant which is going to be planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
