Abutilon ‘Patio Lanterns Passion’ – 20cm pot
A highly decorative evergreen shrub that is very fast-growing and easy to grow. Vibrant red bell-shaped blooms appear in the Spring and flower through, on and off, until Autumn. Their flowers look like paper lanterns hanging from beneath their deep green foliage. Abutilon Patio Lanterns Passion can grow in multiple different soil types and will tolerate a light frost. Low water requirements, once established it is drought tolerant.

Planting Tips:
Prepare the soil before planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost will help to condition and revitalise tired soils. If adding organic matter to your soil, make sure to blend the compost or animal manure with pre-existing soil, mixing/digging it together thoroughly. Dig a wider hole, but not deeper, than the pot’s original size has come in. Position the plant in the hole, backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Do not bury the graft of the plant. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.

Suppose planting into a pot. The container chosen is large enough to accommodate the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container that is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
