A beautiful native which has a neat compact growth habit. Actinodium cunninghamii produces daisy-like filly rose-pink flowers which age to have white outer petals. The flower heads appear in late Winter through Spring. Actinodium cunninghamii requires excellent drainage. We do not recommend growing in heavy clay soils, instead, grow in a pot with Australian Native potting mix. Actinodium cunninghamii has low water requirements. Planting Tips:
When planting Australian natives they don’t require too much work to get them settled. Fertiliser Australian native plants in the prime growing seasons, Spring and early Autumn for the best results. However, make sure to use the right food. Almost all natives dislike soils and food with high phosphorus levels, therefore when fertilising these plants make sure to use a fertiliser made especially for them with phosphorus (P) level of 3% or less.
If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Make sure to use a premium quality Australian Native Potting Mix as this has the correct balance of wetting agents and nutrients required for having a healthy plant.
