Alstroemeria ‘Inca Fire’ – 14cm pot
Alstroemeria Inca Fire, also know as the Peruvian Lily, is a hardy, fast-growing, perennial with fleshy green foliage and a compact growth habit. From spring to autumn, bright fiery red flowers with a yellow highlight appear. Blooms cover the whole plant in a vibrant display and great repeat flowering form. This variety of Alstroemeria makes a great long lasting cut flower and are ideal for a full sun to partly shaded are . Low water requirements once established, will benefit from occasional watering during extended periods of heat. Prune Inca Fire once flowers finished encouraging a neat, tidy shape and continual flowering.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil prior to planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to conditions and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend with pre-existing soil, mixing together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.
If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
