A beautiful, upright, compact evergreen shrub with glossy, dark green leaves. In Winter and Spring, the plant is covered masses of double petaled apple-blossomed coloured flowers. Prune after flowering to desired height and shape, this will encourage a bushy growth habit and the future development of flowers. Camellias have moderate water requirements once established, deep soaking in the peak of summer will benefit the plant. Prefers to be grown in humus-rich soil which is well-draining. Best used for hedging or as a feature tree.
