Liriope ‘Royal Purple’ – 14cm

Hardy, evergreen, upright, clumping grass with deep green, strap-like foliage. Liriope Royal Purple has spikes of purple flowers that appear in late spring and early summer. Use as an underplanting in tropical gardens, as a border in formal gardens, in pots, in vertical gardens or in general landscaping. Will grow best in morning sun and afternoon shade, or all-day shade.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil prior to planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to conditions and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend with pre-existing soil, mixing together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.

If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
