Plum Damson – Freshly Potted*
An upright deciduous fruiting tree which requires pollination for fruit development. Plum Damson produces long stems with elliptic deep green leaves which change colour in autumn. Will require annual pruning once the foliage has dropped in winter. This will encourage a stronger branching framework, airflow through the canopy and better fruit quality. Plum Damson has very small oval fruit with dark reddish-purple skin. The flesh is yellow and is firm, juicy with a semi-clingstone seed. Ideal for eating fresh, cooking, drying or preserving. This is an ideal tree for smaller gardens, patios, apartments, food gardens or planted into a large pot. Grows best in humus-rich soil which is well-draining.
