Acca sellowiana Feijoa ‘Pineapple Guava’ – 27cm pot

An evergreen busy low growing tree, with dark oval green leaves. Pineapple Guava produces masses of blossoms which develop into edible fruits.

The fruit is rounded with deep green skin which remains even when ripe. The flesh is cream in colour and creamy in texture. High in vitamin C the flavour is a blend of strawberry and pineapple.

A highly decorative tree which can be used for general landscaping.

Planting Tips:
Prepare the soil prior to planting. By mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost will help to condition and revitalise tired soils. If adding organic matter to your soil, make sure to blend the compost or animal manure with pre-existing soil, mixing/digging it together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole, backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Do not burry the graft of the plant. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.

If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough to accommodate the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
