This is a slow-growing, low maintenance, upright, clumping plant.  Zamioculcas Zamiifolia has glossy, dark green, oval leaves which remain all year round. New growth is of a striking, glossy, light green colour before maturing to dark green. This plant has very low water requirements. Avoid overwatering in cooler weather. Check the soil before watering. Allow it to dry out completely in between drinks.  It prefers a well-lit room (but not near a window, or the foliage will scorch). Tolerates low levels of light quite well. Use cacti and succulent potting mix.
