From Spring, Pink Splash develops petite semi-double, light and dark pink patterned blooms. The flowers feature a pleasant fragrance and a notable ability to retain beautiful, pink colour for the entire lifetime of the flower, even after rainfall. This easy to grow, sprawling rose is ideal as a living mulch in the garden. Low maintenance with no spraying required due to their great disease-resistance. All the carpet roses are ‘self-cleaning’ and very rarely require deadheading. Roses require moderate watering, especially during hot weather. Applying a layer of mulch around the base of the plant will help to retain moisture during dry periods.
This rose has won many prestigious international gold awards, including one in the All-Deutsche Rose Trials (ADR), notable for its vigorous three-year performance test conducted with no treatments or spraying. When first released this carpet rose was entered to obtain ADR approval, out of 43 roses on the trail this was the only one to qualify.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil prior to planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to condition and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend compost/manure with the pre-existing soil, mixing together thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.
If planting into a pot, make sure the container selected is large enough for the plant which is going to be planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
