Lamprocapnos ‘Valentine’ Bleeding Heart 14cm
Lamprocapnos Valentine is a woodland herbaceous perennial which produces graceful flowers in the Summer. The locket-like, heart-shaped, red flowers form on arching stems. Lamprocapnos Valentine will begin to disappear in early Autumn before going into full dormancy in the Winter. Low-moderate water requirements, once established in the garden, they require very little attention. Plants will benefit from occasional watering during the warmer months—best grown in humus-rich soil with good drainage.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil before planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to condition and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend compost/manure with the pre-existing ground, mixing thoroughly. Once the ground has been prepare, dig a hole which is broader, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.
If planting into a pot, make sure the container selected is large enough for the plant selected. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Use a premium quality potting mix as this has all the added fertilisers and wetting agents required for having a healthy plant.
