Pieris japonica ‘Temple Bells ‘ 25cm pot
Pieris Temple Bells is a beautiful, elegant shrub. Upright, low maintenance, medium, evergreen shrub with dark green pointy leaves and bright red new growth in spring. In late winter, trusses of small burgundy flower buds appear followed by white coloured bell-shaped flowers. Best used in Japanese style gardens, mass plantings, border plants, low or tall hedging solution (depending on variety), pots and general landscaping. Pieris Temple Bells grows best in a shaded position in the garden; however, they can be grown successfully in full sun. Requires a moist, fertile, well-draining soil. Pieris japonica has low water requirements once established. Can be pruned to desired size and shape.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil before planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to conditions and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend with the pre-existing ground, mixing thoroughly. Once the soil has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.
