A decorative ornamental tree perfect as a feature plant. Japanese Maple ‘Oshu Shidare’ is best known for its spring foliage and stunning autumn colour. The foliage provides a display year-round, foliage in Spring is rich crimson-red ageing to deep green-red in summer. In autumn, bright scarlet-red colours will appear, giving your garden an eye-catching display. Japanese Maple Oshu Shidare has moderate water requirements, the plant will benefit from occasional watering in Summer. Requires fertile, humus-rich soil with protection from strong winds.

Planting Tips:
Make sure to prepare the soil before planting. Mixing in a bag of well-aged animal manure or compost can help to condition and revitalise tired soil. Make sure to blend compost/manure with the pre-existing ground, mixing thoroughly. Once the ground has been prepare, dig a hole which is wider, but not deeper, than what the original size of the pot the plant has come in. Position the plant in the hole and backfill any gaps with the excess soil. Give the plant a deep soaking of water to help settle the roots.
