Acacia pycnantha ‘Golden Wattle’ – 14cm
A decorative native tree. Acacia Golden Wattle has lovely vibrant green leaves. In Spring, clusters of vibrant yellow flowers which are also bee attracting emerge. Acacia Golden Wattle is drought tolerant once established and can be grown in coastal conditions. Fertiliser every 6-12 months with a slow-release Australian Native feed for best results. Acacia Golden Wattle has low water requirements and is best grown in free-draining soil.

Planting Tips:
When planting Australian natives they don’t require too much work to get them settled. Fertiliser Australian native plants in the prime growing seasons, Spring and early Autumn for the best results. However, make sure to use the right food. Almost all natives dislike soils and food with high phosphorus levels, therefore when fertilising these plants make sure to use a fertiliser made especially for them with phosphorus (P) level of 3% or less.
If planting into a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant being planted. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Make sure to use a premium quality Australian Native Potting Mix as this has the correct balance of wetting agents and nutrients required for having a healthy plant.
